1982 Cherokee
1982 Cherokee
We just finished working on Jack's '82 Cherokee. It arrived with a late-model 6 swap, a 5-speed transmission, and a bright green bass boat metal flake paint. Man it was shocking to the eyes! It had dodge ram seats and the rest of the interior was rattle can grey paint. Yuk! So we painted it back to the original silver, Gladiator grill swap and redid the interior back to the very cool 3 tone blue interior with some grand waggy power seats. 2.5” lift and some 33x10.50 Kenda's on some black vision wheels. Bumpers from BJs offroad, stitched dash, Bluetooth stereo a bulldog winch and a OX locker for the rear and 4:10 gears. Hardest part was getting it to run right. Has an old Hesco fuel injection and it gave us a run for our money! A spun harmonic balancer was the main culprit, as well as a wrong generation distributor. We honestly can’t understand how it even ran before. But now she purrs! It ended up being a beauty! Runs and drives great and now will take jack out exploring in upstate New York. Thanks again Jack, your gonna enjoy this jeep.
